VESSEL TRANSPORT
Vessel Transport is a larger scale turn-key VR quad Motion-chair based unit, intended to bring unique seated “amusement park” ride experiences in a smaller and easier to use footprint. It was demoed at the International Association of Amusement Parks Expo in Florida, with 5 distinctive VR experiences including Ubisoft’s Eagle Flight – where patrons were able to play 2v2 live multiplayer.
The unit was intended to act as a platform to showcase VUSR Stage – the proprietary content management system developed in house at Secret Location. It was capable of dynamically loading content onto all 4 seats, launching content simultaneously or individually as well as synchronizing the content on the attract screens to match the current experience being played.
My Responsibilities included all aspects of the unit’s design, from look and feel to footprint, dimensions, computer specifications and hardware wiring locations. I was also responsible for designing all the animations that would play on the overhead LED array ‘attract screen’, the large rear mounted ‘main screen’ and the front mounted ‘branding screen’.
